Old Porsche Posters

I have been seriously getting off on these vintage Porsche posters. I’m not kidding around. My pants get a bit tighter every time I look. Designed in 1966 by Volz, these designs show off my favorite brand of vehicle, the Porsche. I’d love drop 1,200 bills and get a full sized poster but this poster book will have to suffice. You can check out more of these over at Grain Edit. (Images courtesy of vpracing.com and ausmotive.com )

Save the Date

You know the “Save the Date” flyers people send out to family and friends before they get married? This is the design I made for a friend a few months back. They were in a long distance relationship and would constantly be traveling back and forth to see each other. It’s a play off of an airline ticket if you haven’t noticed. Throughout the ticket there are a bunch of inside jokes between the happy couple and even more innuendos to help the guests get the point. Here’s a larger version. Don’t show up and be a weirdo either. I just wanted to show ya’ll the idea.

Buffalo Rising Clothing Line

I had the pleasure of designing first line of Buffalo Rising T Shirts. They are for sale in Buffalo Rising’s recently launched online store which features their own line of apparel along with other Buffalo centric products to follow.  My goal in designing these was not only promote the city but do so in a way that is fashionable. Sure you can buy shirts that stamp “BUFFALO, NY” across the chest, like a bad birthday gift or something a tourist would bring back, but I decided to take the subtle approach. You can represent the Buffalo Sabres with the Queen City Tee or grab a throwback of the Buffalo Braves jersey design. Inspirations came from all over when conceptualizing these threads, from the London Underground logo to Hell’s Angels leather vests. All of the designs proudly represent the city I live in without obnoxiously throwing it in your face. The shirts are printed on high quality American Apparel tees and will last a life time.

I’m currently in the process of designing the second line which will include women’s apparel and some winter gear. All shirts go for $16.99. You can purchase the unique tees at the Buffalo Rising Store or wait for them to drop in boutique shops along Elmwood.

Desktop Wallpaper Organizer

I’ve noticed my desktop is getting cluttered when working on several projects at once so I decided to take initiative and build myself and organizer that was my desktop background. I had the idea a few months ago and luckily read through my notebook and knocked a rough version of the idea out. The organizing boxes depend on how you have your desktop icons sized and spaced but I seem to be getting some use out of it as of now. I’m testing it on a Macbook now (1680×1050) and you can download it here (save link as) if you want to try it out.

JAQK Wine

Now that’s packaging that grabs your eye. Harsh lines and simple geometric shapes conform into patterns that instantly attract any viewer. JAQK Cellars is a group of three creatives who have a passion for both graphic design and wine making. Their talents are noted. From superb bottle branding to quirky theme names their newly found winery shouldn’t be anything less than a hit.

They have everything from playing cards to a gnarly clothing line in which they show their creative talents. Don’t forget about the wine now. They have eight offerings in their newly found collection. I’m off to order a gift set. I suggest you pick up a bottle of your favorite JAQK spirit.
